 The Traditional Tae Kwon Do Association Cornwall have clubs at: St. Austell, Bodmin and Fowey. We have been affiliated to Traditional Tae Kwon Do Association since November 2000. Our Chief Instructor & Examiner is Grandmaster T K Loh. Grandmaster T K Loh has practiced with a variety of the world’s top grandmasters and masters. Coming from a traditionally  strong martial arts family background, Grandmaster Loh has a vast knowledge and skill in a variety of martial arts, ranging from karate to kung fu as well as lesser-known martial arts like silat and pulculan. 

Grandmaster Loh was the first person in the world to perform a five target aerial break, he was the first person in Europe to perform a jumping back kick through 6" of pine as well as the first in the U.K. to perform the aerial triple front kick. Grandmaster Loh was promoted to 8th Dan in July 2000 by Grandmaster Park Hae Man and was conferred Grandmaster status by Great Grandmaster Um Un Kyu, Vice president of Kukkiwon.  

Grandmaster T K Loh's History in the British Isles is well documented.

  • 1975 - Arrived in Britain as a 2nd Dan, lived & established a Tae Kwon Do School in Cornwall then opened another in Birmingham.

  • 1977 - English Tae Kwon Do champion - Coventry.

  • 1979 - Invited by Master Ki Ha Rhee to teach at his Academy.

  • 1979 - European Tae Kwon Do overall light weight champion taking gold in Pattern, sparring and breaking in Oslo, Norway.

  • 1980 - European Tae Kwon Do patterns champion in Crystal Palace, London. Started the Cumbernauld Tae Kwon Do club.

  • 1982 - Helped form the BTCB  Executive member. Started Falkirk club.

  • 1985 - Appointed British Team Coach to both demonstration team and competition team. Appointed chief Examiner to BTCB. Coach to 2nd world games, Crystal Palace, London.

  • 1987 - Team coach to 7th World Tae Kwon Do championships in Seoul, Korea. Graduated with B. Sc in Physiotherapy.

  • 1989 - Founded the Traditional Tae Kwon Do Association.

  • 2000 - Traditional Tae Kwon Do Association Schools open in Cornwall.

  • 2004 - Coached the TTA to win the overall team championship trophy in the 8th World Chung Do Kwan Championships (Singapore)....click here

  • 2006 - Awarded Commendation of Excellence at 11th Foreign TKD Instructors Course from Vice President of Kukkiwon .... click here
