TTA SOUTH WEST 2nd WEEKEND SPARRING SEMINAR 2005 CONDUCTED BY GRANDMASTER T. K. LOH 8th DAN 30 April - 1 May 2005 This course is open to all TTA students who have been graded to yellow belt or higher. The course will be very intensive with 3 hours training in the morning and after a lunch break a further 2 hours in the afternoon. Instructors and students in the TTA know how important it is to update their skills regularly, attending these courses help you to keep on track with your development and education in Tae Kwon Do. |

TRADITIONAL TAE KWON DO ASSOCIATION SOUTH WEST 1st WEEKEND SPARRING SEMINAR Cornwall hosted its first weekend free sparring seminar seminar on 29 - 30 May 2004. Students from all over Britain attended to make the course a resounding success, the course was 10 hours long held over Saturday and Sunday. The level of practice to which Grandmaster T. K. Loh 8th Dan exposed the students to is much more technical and exhausting both mentally and physically than that of a normal training session. For pictures of the course click on the link: |
POOMSE SEMINAR CONDUCTED BYGRANDMASTER PARK HAE MAN 9th DANOn 18th June 2003 Grandmaster Park Hae Man conducted a seminar on Taegeuk Poomsae. Grandmaster T. K. Loh 8th Dan, myself, and other TTA students from around the U.K. attended the seminar. Grandmaster Park is one of the original masters who developed and designed the Taegeuk Poomsae. He is advisor to the World Tae Kwon Do Federation ( formed in 1963 ). Grandmaster Park is also head of the Chung Do Kwan ( the oldest Tae Kwon Do School formed in 1944 ). Grandmaster Park Hae Man 9th Dan is Grandmaster Instructor to Grandmaster T. K. Loh 8th Dan. To be instructed on technical application of Poomsae by one of the worlds foremost authority's in Tae Kwon Do was a experience never to be forgotten. It is a great honour and privilege to experience Tae Kwon Do from Grandmaster Park and Grandmaster Loh. Here is some photographs of Great Grandmaster Park Hae Man during the seminar.

TTA Championships 2004 7 Medals for Cornish Team Cornwall was represented by 6 competitors and 2 officials at the Traditional Tae Kwon Do Association Championships. The championships were held in Coatbridge Scotland with fighters and competitors attending from all over the U.K. and Ireland. Congratulations to: Joseph Lyward (Bodmin) Gold medal junior feather weight, Leo Oates (Bodmin) Silver medal junior light weight, Emma Travis (St. Austell/Bristol) won Silver medal in female featherweight, Joseph Tomlin (Fowey) won Silver medal in children's flyweight weight, Laine Gynn (Bodmin) won Bronze medal in male middleweight and Steven Shields (Instructor) won Bronze medal in male black belt lightweight and also Bronze medal for Poomse |

TTA Championships 2003 No fighters from Cornwall attended this years TTA Individual British Championships, six students did attend as officials / referees, The experience they brought back has been very beneficial for students who want to enter next years individual championships. |

TTA Championships 2002 Gold for Cornwall Two students Mark Elliott and Liz Whelan from TTA Cornwall attended Coatbridge Scotland in early November for the British TTA Championships. It was their first time entering a martial art competition, Liz Whelan entered poomse and won 1st place, Mark Elliott entered free-sparring fought very well but was not placed. Well done to them both and all who entered.

TTA Championships 2001 3 Medals for Cornwall Held in Scotland 18th November left to right Steve Shields, Max Shand, Sam Shand, David Spencer, Grandmaster T.K.Loh, Ken Chapman and Julie Shields. Out of the sparring and poomse events entered 3 silver medals were won, Max won silver in sparring in his weight category and Ken won silver in poomse and silver in sparring re his weight category.
